Like the Sea

As long as I remember all of the expansions and contractions, I can identify with a recent blogger who described the movements of the set as ‘becoming a deeper sense of slow fluid movement’.

For me it feels like the sea on a calm day when the waves, with quiet, controlled, rhythmic power roll up the beach to a ‘sweet point’ where they pause, momentarily, before pulling back into the sea.

It makes the whole 108 moves into 1 because they all flow together into one continuous movement from the beginning to the end of the set.

Accompanying this I hear the soft, quiet but strong, rhythmic sound of my breathing which waxes and wanes with the expansions and contractions. It seems to help me to stay at a consistent pace all through the set, a bit like a metronome
