Welcome to The gentle movements of Taoist Tai Chi™ taijiquan work to reduce stress, promote balance and increase flexibility. The Taoist Tai Chi™ taijiquan set consists of 108 movements that are described as gentle, continuous and circular. Founded by Master Moy Lin-shin in 1970, the International Taoist Tai Chi Society is a multi-corporation, single organization dedicated to promoting health in the community through the practice of Taoist Tai Chi™ internal arts and methods. The Society has 30,000 members in 28 countries, and operates as a volunteer, non-profit organization. In New York State, there are branches in Syracuse, Ithaca, Buffalo and New York City. The Syracuse Branch has members and classes in Skaneateles. Every Branch of the International Taoist Tai Chi Society operates under the same principles. You can read our Aims & Objectives here.
